About Us

Mission statement

The Re-MERGE Indigenous Knowledge Network is a collaborative initiative aimed at advancing ecological resilience and sustainability by centering Indigenous knowledge systems. In an era where the global climate crisis demands innovative and inclusive solutions, Re-MERGE seeks to honor and integrate Indigenous ecological knowledge (IEK) as a transformative framework for action.
Through interdisciplinary dialogue and co-creation, Re-MERGE explores how IEK can intersect with governance, policy, education, technology, and business innovation to foster decolonized ecological practices. By embracing diverse mediums-storytelling, case studies, digital tools, and participatory workshops-Re-MERGE expands the ways knowledge is shared and practiced, ensuring these systems resonate with broader audiences and diverse communities. Re-MERGE’s goals are threefold: first, to amplify Indigenous voices and knowledge systems in addressing ecological and climate challenges; second, to foster cross-sector collaborations that support inclusive governance, sustainable technologies, and ethical innovation; and third, to create platforms that democratize knowledge and participation, ensuring that Indigenous systems shape the future of sustainability and resilience.
